Personal profile
Jelleke de Nooy- van Tol is an experienced   sustainable development professional, and works as initiator, catalyst, team leader and coordinator/director of – preferably - network organisations;  with a strong background in strategy development, communication, network analysis, participatory and stakeholder approaches, and building networks and alliances, with partners for social change.  

She is an agricultural engineer (landscape & regional development) with over 25 years experience in the Netherlands, GB, USA,  West-Africa, China and Vietnam. As a person she is cheerful, proactive, independent, trustworthy, with an entrepreneurial attitude, charismatic, positive, convincing and persistent, even in difficult times.

Jelleke specializes in issues related to environmental and social aspects of sustainable development, in particular:  

1. the interrelations between sound soil and water management, coherent agriculture, food and health;

2. sustainable commodity chains: transformation of farmers practises and businesses towards more Sustainable production and socially responsible behaviour;

3. organizational and institutional development.

4. rehabilitation of endogenous knowledge and instigating interdisciplinary and participatory knowledge development
